Former Attorney General Pam Bondi is reportedly recovering well after undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer, according to a recent social media post from former Trump administration official Katie Miller.
Miller praised Bondi’s determination, saying she fought the disease with the same grit she has long displayed in public service.
“[Pam] has a heart of gold,” Miller wrote on X, adding that Bondi is “kicking cancer’s ass.”
According to Axios, Bondi has completed treatment and is now recovering. Thyroid cancer is considered highly treatable, with a high survival rate when detected early.
At the same time, Bondi is returning to the Trump administration in a new role. President Donald Trump has appointed her to the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, where she will help shape the administration’s artificial intelligence strategy.
In her new position, Bondi will work alongside major technology leaders, including Jensen Huang, Mark Zuckerberg, and Larry Ellison, as the administration seeks to strengthen America’s leadership in AI.
Vice President J.D. Vance praised Bondi’s appointment, calling her “an enormously valuable asset” to the president’s team.
Bondi’s recovery and return to public service mark a significant new chapter as she takes on a key role in one of the administration’s top priorities.
